and Rinsina Rohrer Reber. Her father died when she was 3 yr old. Her
mother later married Fredrick Beyeler. There were three half brothers,

union nine children were born. In 1943 her husband was killed in a
railroad accident. In June 1947 she had a paralitic (sic) stroke, from

ELIZABETH HEAPS ANDERSON, died 14 July 1951 in Nampa hospital. She was
born 3 Aug 1868 in Williamsburg, New York. In 1887 she married Andrew S.
Johnson in the Logan Temple. Her husband preceeded (sic) her in death 14
June 1919. She was the mother of 12 children, five girls & seven boys.

Dorothy Zollinger Lau. He married Laura Horsley, daughter of Thomas
William and Sophia Edghill Horsley on June 26 1890 in the Logan Temple.

GEORGE WASHINGTON ELLIS, SR., 83, died 18 Oct 1951 at Soda Springs.
Service were (sic) held 22 Oct 1951 at Soda. Burial in the Fairview
Cemetery in Soda. He was born in Perrysville, Missouri 9 Oct 1868, a son
of Willis and Margaret Erwin Ellis. He married Rebecca Wright in 1895.
Mrs. Ellis passed away within the year. In 1898 he married Susannah
Trappett. To this union were 8 children – two girls having died in
infancy. Mrs. Ellis died 5 June 1929. In 1937 he married Argenta
Skinner. Survivors: his widow Argenta, one daughter, Mrs. Edna Law, five
sons, Homer, John, Howard, George & Jr; one stepson Stephen LeRoy
Skinner.

Burial in Soda Elizabeth Lewis was born 8 July 1845 in Devonshire,
England. She married Nathan Meads. He died in 1892. To this union 2 sons
were born: Nathan & William M. Meads. Survivors: are the two sons.
HANS PETER SORENSEN died in Tucson, Arizona 25 Jan 1952. He was born at
Esbjerg, Denmark 25 April 1884. He married Theodora Brown in 1910.

MRS. LAURA SMEDLEY FINDLAY, 83,
died 12 Feb 1952 at Caribou Hospital in Soda. She was born 6 March 1869
at Leipsig, Delaware. She married Walter Findlay 17 Oct 1894. He passed
away in Jan 1938. Surviving – two sons & one daughter – W. L. Findlay,
M. H. Findlay, Mrs. Walter Poulsen. Funeral & burial in Paris, Idaho.
WILLIAM S. AYERS died 21 Feb 1952 at Soda. He was born 1 Oct 1861
near Newman, Illinois a son of Nancy Cutler & George Wilbur Ayers. He
had 8 brothers and 4 sisters, only one surviving Carl Ayers of Odom,
Indiana. He married Maria Bell Boyer 26 April 1886 at Abilene, Kansas.
To this union were born 4 girls – two surviving, Mrs. Beatrice McRae &
Mrs. Sue Allen. Later he married Mrs. Louella Cornelison at
Diamondville, Wyo. To this union was born one son Dale Ayers. Survived
by 2 daughters, 1 son, 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Mayme Gorringe, Mrs.
Priami Parks and six stepsons, Forest Cornelison, James Cornelison, Ezra
Cornelison, Velton Cornelison, Ulyssis Cornelison and Nello Cornelison.

11 Jan 1935 at Soda a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Vernal Hopkins. Survivors –

Sept 1868 in Blue Earth Co. Minnesota a dau of Mr. & Mrs. Ferdinand
Russel. She married George Blackburn

Kansas. 8 children were born. Her husband died 2 Nov 1929. 2 children
preceeded (sic) her in death. John was killed in World War I and Bessie
died at infancy. Survivors: 4 sons & 2 daughters & one sister; Joe

Blackburn, Myrtle Campbell; her sister Nellie Blackburn. In May 1924 she

MRS. JOHANNA MONSON QUALMAN, 98, died at
her home in Central [Idaho] 28 April 1952. She was born 6 June 1953 at
Rosta Malmar, Sweden, moved to Germany 1865. She married Christian
Qualman 28 Oct 1893 at Oberhall, Germany. Her husban (sic) preceeded
(sic) her in death 38 years ago. 5 sons of her nine children survive.

71, died 2 May 1952 at Pocatello [Idaho]. He was born in Yorkshire, Eng.
[England] 21 Sept 1880 a son of Smith and Phoebe Gummersall. He married
Bartha May Griffith 7 June 1907 at Alexander, Ida. She died 11 July
1951. Survived by 11 sons & daughters, Funeral in Pocatello, burial in
Mountain View Cemetery. He is the brother of George H. Gummersall & H.
S. Gummersall.
W.G. SKINNER, 71, died 11 May 1952 at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. Leah Tremelling at Soda. He was born 11 June 1881 at
Nounan, Bear Lake, Idaho, a son of Brigham & Lucy Ann Smith Skinner. He
married Louella R. Hill 2 July 1900 at St. Charles, Ida. Survivors: his
widow, six daughters, Mrs. Leah Tremelling, Mrs. Lucy Johnson, Mrs.
Bertie Marks, Mrs. Rosella Hansen, Mrs. Coretta Hemmert & Mrs. Leslie

Bernhart & Marie Gronberg. In 1891 she married Richard Olsen at Ephraim,

Springs. She was born June 1, 1874 at Logan, Utah a daughter of Dr.
Hyrum & Eliabeth (sic) [Elizabeth] Cranney. She married Fred C. Lallatin
10 March 1897 in Logan Temple. Her husband died 1 Sept 1944. Survivors:
3 sons – Anton, Frank & Duane Lallatin; four daughters – Mrs. Lester
(Harriett) Coy, Mrs. B. F. (Florence) Noyer, Mrs. Duane (Rosine) Casto,
Mrs. B. C. (Alice) Falk, two sisters – Mrs. Loretta Kingston, Mrs.
Katherine Heusser. She was preceeded (sic) in death by her husband and
three daughters – Mrs. Carl (Elizabeth) Haderlie, Loretta and LaRue

RAY L. RANDALL (sic) {KENDALL) died 7 March
1953 at Soda Springs. He was born in Nov. 1885 at Ennis, Texas. Managed
Enders Hotel until 1950. He is survived by one brother Jess Kendall.

THOMAS GEORGE STRATTON [died] 9 March 1953 in Idaho Falls [Idaho].
Funeral services in Idaho Falls 12 March and graveside services 13 March
in Logan, Utah. Burial in Logan City Cemetery. He was born 5 Feb 1879 in
Logan, Utah a son of George Frederick & Rosanna Fleming Stratton. He
married Anna Katherine Peterson in Logan 5 Oct 1905. She preceded him in
death in 1923. Four children were born to this marriage of whom one son
and two daughters survive; Mrs. Glen (Thelma) Henderson, Floyd Stratton,
Mrs. Herman (Alpha) Henderson. One son, George, preceded him in death.
He married Edith Standley Kimball 24 Dec 1928 in St. Anthony, Idaho. To
them were born 3 children. All survive: A. W. (Bill) Stratton, Mrs. Dale
(Alice) Weatherston, Jennie Stratton. Besides his wife he is also
survived by three Step children; Mrs. Fred (Edith Ann) Lahman, M. J.
(Mike) Mayne, Mrs. Don (Erva) Hethcoat.

died 16 March 1953. He was born Oct. 10 1881at Soda, a son of Daniel D.
& Cassandra Wright. He married Evelyn Hughes 16 Sept 1941 at Jackson,
Wyo. He lived near 10 Percent Spring when a boy. Burial?

Hospital. He was the son of Mrs. Martha Reed and the late Frank A. Reed,
who died 24 June 1938. He was born 3 Oct 1895 at Taylorsville, Idaho. He
married Lenora Smith 12 Feb 1925. Surviving: his mother Martha Reed, a

Ida.10 Oct 1894, a dau of Rudolph and Anna Barbara Bienz. She was one of
10 children, seven of whom are living. She married Hyrum Lau. They had
four children. Mr. Lau died, then she married McGee Christensen and a
son was born to them. Survived by four children: Margaret Sharp, Kathryn
Tanner, Kay Lau, Jack Christensen, brother, Rudolph Bienz, and six
sisters, Lena Robinson, Martha Hicks, Hannah Hughes, Clara Smith, Alice

in “Old Town” Soda Springs, the eldest child of George W. and Leah M.
Gorton. He married Priscilla Terry in 1902. She died 1922. There were no

Gorton & E Kenneth Gorton; four sisters died in the diphtheria epidemic
1880. A fifth sister died in infancy. Another brother was shot in an

Meletha Vias in Wayan [Idaho] 19 Sept 1953. He was born 16 March 1863 in
Farmington, Iowa the son of Maria Yearian Dray and Henry Dray. He was
their only son. Seven sisters preceded him in death. He married Amanda
Graham in the 1880’s in Unionville, Md. They had 3 daughters, Meletha
Chat, Kate Cecil & Vera Leona. Two sons died in infancy. Mrs. Dray died
2 Mar. 1925. His daughter Kate Bush died 1936. Surviving two daughters,

at his home in Burley [Idaho] 28 April 1954. Born 21 June 1882 in
France. He married Marie Urquilux at Idaho Falls [Idaho] in 1921.
Surviving – his widow, one daughter Mrs. Rollo J. Morris, two
step-daughters Mrs. C. Howard Gillis & Helen Gastambide; 2 sisters in
France. Burial in Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.

Aug 1877 a son of Henry Daniel & Josephine Ladowl Cooley. He married
Lois Albiston 12 June 1905 in Pocatello [Idaho]. Two son (sic) were born
to them, Willis H, deceased, and Ernest R. Cooley. Survivors – his

[Utah] 1 April 1917. She died in 1943. Survivors, include two sons

– grandparents Mrs. Jane Banks & Mr. & Mrs. Carl Jorgensen. Funeral 29

RUEBEN GANSKE of Pingree [Idaho] died 27 July 1954 from a car accident
(the same as Renee Jorgensen died in) in Caribou Hospital. The body was
taken to Pocatello [Idaho] for funeral.
MRS IDA ANDERSON COLLETT,
85, died 1 Aug 1954 in Boise [Idaho]. Funeral 5 Aug 1954. She was born
in Soda Springs 18 Sept 1868, the dau of Mary Christopherson & Neils
Anderson. She married Tom Collett. They had nine children, six of whom
are living. Mr. Collett preceded her in death. Survivors – three
daughters, Blanche Johnson, Alberta Hansen, Mrs. Bessie Spang; two sons,
Tom & George, a brother Pete Anderson and a sister Mrs. Anna Rogers.

near Soda Springs. He was born 11 July 1927 in Soda Springs, son of Mr.
& Mrs. Raymond Campbell and Myrtle Campbell. He married Mary Lou
Thirkill 21 Oct 1947 in Soda. Survivors – his widow, two children Terry

29 Aug 1954 at her home in Soda. She was born Mili Mili Kapaki at
Makawea, Maui, Territory of Hawaii 24 Aug 1895 the daughter of Luika Lei
Huia and Hooii Kapaki. She married Frank Call 15 July 1911, He died 5
Nov 1937, also two infant sons and a daughter Ala preceded her in death.

& Mrs. Clint Piar (his sister). He was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio 3

his home in Grace, Ida. He was born at Grace 23 April 1900 the son of
